Diffusion of Educational innovations
Course Description:
In-depth analysis of innovation development and adoption processes in educational organizations, including schools, universities, and training centers. |
Reflection:
Change is not always easy! There are many variables that play a part in the success or failure of change. This class was very interesting and eye-opening when it comes to shedding light on the diffusion of innovations. In going through the course assignments, it was very interesting to reflect on the process of diffusion. In my own words, it is like teaching a reading concept with the 5 W's. Who adopts? What is the purpose for adoption? Where will the adoption happen? Will people adopt? When will people adopt? Many variables can attribute to the success or failure of an innovation, but the most important variable will be the change agent. This class has challenged me to be a leader at the forefront of making change happen. Change can happen when channeling the change through the right networks, while being aware of attitudes and actions within the network. Artifacts: CBAM, Concerns Based Adoption Model, Project |
